I was born and raised through the fifth grade in Duncan, Oklahoma. After my fifth grade year my family moved to London, England. Due to my dad’s job as a chemical engineer for Halliburton I have been fortunate to have lived not only in London, but we also spent several years in the tiny country of Bahrain which is located in the Persian Gulf. Talk about two completely different cultures!! I loved them both and learned a great deal in the experience. A perk to living overseas was all the places we got to visit on vacations and school trips such as France, Wales, Holland, Austria to name a few.
As an adult, I became interested in sign language. I began taking classes at OSU-OKC and graduated from their program in 1997. I’ve been working in the field ever since and have the opportunity to interpret in just about any setting you can imagine. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at USAO in Chickasha Oklahoma and eventually went on to get a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
I Currently live in Oklahoma City with my two dogs, Lexie and Drover. I have two grown sons, Colt and Clint Sylvester, a beautiful daughter in law Molly and the light of my life and joy of my heart my Grandson, Walker. He is two and a half years old and full of energy, joy, and smiles. I am truly looking forward to being a part of The Hanna Project Ecuador team.
