Ivory Coast ’16 – Soccer & School

What do an Ivorian youth leader, an American youth leader and an English/French translator…all part of The Hanna Project, have in common? A very successful week of work!

After a very, long day of travel for the construction and soccer group, the team arrived in Bondoukou. The construction team evaluated, calculated, and worked alongside the Ivorian workers to complete a roofing project for the new school building. The soccer team went into the public schools and invited more than 300 children to attend the clinic and games for Wednesday – Saturday.

A Wednesday of thankfulness….
1st stage of construction project complete
70+ children reached with the MESSAGE of HOPE at the soccer camp
Bucket baths each day

THP Thursday – THP Ivory Coast…a day in the life!
Go to a village and meet the local chief and regional queen, then receive a goat as a gift when you give them med kits and soccer balls.
See goats crossing the road.
Dig deep holes, make cement by hand and sweat just a little.
Watch college students work really hard.

Eat, sleep and get ready for a great Friday!

A great day to finish the high school soccer camp and ready for elementary tomorrow.

Saturday is wash day in Ivory Coast and it also marked the final day of soccer, surgeries and school construction activities for a The Hanna Project! We are happy with the end results of the many opportunities to work with 300+ students at the soccer camp/clinic and help the school building be ready for use in September.
